Culinary Tours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has an extensive list of “culinary exploration” activities for guests and visitors. One of the more popular choices is the daily Culinary Tour of Boma – Flavors of Africa followed by Jiko – The Cooking Place.

This culinary tour is led by one of the hotel’s Cultural Representatives and gives guests a chance learn about the history and cuisine of the African-inspired restaurants at the hotel in addition to learning about the decor of the restaurants.The tour begins at Boma and then travels to Jiko – The Cooking Place. At both locations tour you’ll have a chance to sample items from the restaurants, but no full meals will be served.

And perhaps the best part of this tour? It’s completely free.

The time for this culinary tour was recently changed from 4 p.m. daily to 3:45 p.m. each day. We aren’t sure if this is a permanent time change so be sure to check the resort’s activity sheet or call the front desk.
