Families looking for a new experience at the Walt Disney World Resort can take part in the all-new ‘Disney Family Culinary Adventure’ that is set to open on July 8 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

This tour is for guests ages 9 and older and is an interactive, hands-on cooking adventure with Disney chefs. The 30 guests will be divided into five groups in the kitchen and will learn everything from how to roll sushi to making pasta.

The five groups are: garde manger where guests will learn to make farmer cheese and butter; sushi; boucherie where guests will learn to trim a beef tenderloin; pasta where they’ll make a three-ingredient pasta; and patisserie where guests can “play” with chocolate.

After the cooking portion the guests will be seated at the table in the kitchen to enjoy a five-course meal. Guests with food allergies or those who are vegan or vegetarian can request special dinner option. Once diner is over the guests will be treated to a molecular gastronomy demonstration.

All guests will receive a chef’s hat and a signed Disney cookbook.

The Disney Culinary Family Adventure starts July 8 and will be offered two nights a week (days vary). The cost is $175 for guests ages 12 and older and $125 for guests ages 9-12. For more information or to make reservations call 407-WDW-PLAY.
