Disney’s Art of Animation Will Use RFID Proximity Door Locks

Next-Gen technology is now coming as a thing of the present, not the future!

Last year, Disney started a new system by placing an RFID chip in refillable mugs at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort. There’s been the introduction of a Talking Mickey and talk of Radio Frequency ID Bracelets.

Now, with the upcoming opening of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, they will be introducing RFID proximity door locks. Instead of the regular key card swipe locks, the doors will feature RFID proximity sensors. Guests will no longer have to slide their key card into a slot, now they will just have to hold the card up near the door and it will unlock.

This is exciting news and perhaps one day you will be able to scan that card and enter Disney Parks, obtain a FASTPASS and pay for everything you need!

What do you think of this new RFID key card?
