Disney’s Pop Century Resort – A Room Review

Posted by on Sep 29, 2014 | 0 comments

One of our favorite value resorts at Walt Disney World has to be Pop Century. From the kitschy oversize icons in each decade to the fun Everything Pop quick service dining area, to the Hippy Dippy Pool – this resort has it all at a value!

And while the rooms at Pop aren’t big – 260 square feet – they are charming and we have the photos to prove it!

Gone are the days of the bedspreads! The beds at Pop Century now feature a cute and modern coverlet at the foot of the bed. The coverlets really give the room a clean and updated look.

Another thing we love about Pop is the divider curtain that closes off the bathroom area from the rest of the room. When you’re in small quarters it’s nice to have a little extra privacy. And, you won’t wake up the late sleepers when you’re up at the crack of dawn for rope drop!

No matter the size of the hotel room, you don’t want to be tripping over your luggage or other bags when you’re in the room. Not only do the rooms at Pop Century have a nice “closet” area next to the sink (great for storing luggage, hanging clothes, and using the shelf up top for more storage), but there is also a nice dresser where you can unpack your clothes.

The dresser also doubles as the television stand and the home for the mini fridge.

The decor in the rooms at Pop Century isn’t in-your-face but rather is more subtle – and that’s just fine. The coverlets feature beloved Disney characters along with icons for each decade represented at the hotel. And each room has a great framed poster that represents the decade where you’re staying!
