Easter is March 31st this year and if you’re staying at Walt Disney World, there are quite a few activities for you to participate in!

Easter Activities in the Disney Parks

Magic Kingdom

- The week before Easter, you can meet Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny next to City Hall.

- 15 minutes before the normal 3pm parade on Easter Sunday, there will be a special “pre-parade”.

Epcot

- On Easter Sunday, there will be Easter Egg Hunts and Relays in the United Kingdom Pavillion

- On Easter Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny will be available for a “Meet and Greet” in the United Kingdom Pavillion

- On Easter Sunday, there will be Easter Egg Hunts in Future World at at the Innoventions “East-er” Garden

Religious Services at the Disney Resorts

On Easter Sunday, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, there will be the following:

Catholic Mass at 8 am and 10:15 am.

Protestant Service at 9 am.

All of the services will take place in the Fantasia Ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

If you’re not staying at the Contemporary Resort, your best option to get there will be by bus to Magic Kingdom. You can then take the  Resort Monorail or walk the pathway to the Contemporary. If driving, you may choose to park at the Magic Kingdom/Transportation and Ticket Center Parking Lot and take the Resort Monorail or pathway from there. Parking at the Contemporary Resort will be restricted to resort guests only at this time of year.

The new California Grill is designed by the Puccini Group in San Francisco and will feature a wall of wines when you enter and of course, the spectacular views you get of the Magic Kingdom from every table.

Chef Brian Piasecki is creating a new menu that will combine classic dishes from the California Grill with new items including a variety of sushi and 24 hour braised beef short ribs. If you’re looking to see what the menus are at the lounges and pool bars at the different Disney Resorts, the Walt Disney World website is currently being updated to include the menus of those also!

Not all lounges and pool bars have a full menu up, but it looks like they will! Each pool bar and lounge will have it’s own page, description, map, menu with prices and hours. You also will have the ability to view hours for the pool bars and lounges in advance, which will help you better plan your trip! This way you’ll know if you can enjoy a drink at the pool late at night!

When on Walt Disney World’s Dining section, you can sort by location to view the menus for each lounge and pool bar.

MagicBand

The MagicBand will serve as a guest’s room key, theme park ticket, access to FastPass+ selections, PhotoPass card and optional payment account all on your wrist!

With MyMagic + being introduced, there is also the new addition of being able to check-in to your Walt Disney World Resort even earlier! Previously, guests were only able to check-in up to 10 days in advance. Now, guests will be able to log into the My Disney Experience website and check-in up to 60 days in advance!

When you arrive at your Walt Disney Resorts, guests will still have to stop at the Online Check-in Registration Desk to receive a detailed Welcome Packet and their Key to the World Cards (until the MagicBands are officially introduced!). You will also still have to show a valid photo ID.

Are you headed to Disneyland anytime soon?

Point adjustments are limited for 2014 and only reflect changes for the Easter and Thanksgiving holidays which have changing dates from year-to-year. In 2014, April 13th -26th have been classified as Easter Premier Season. The Thanksgiving holiday season will be November 26th-28th, and that places those dates in Magic Season.

The Wilderness Lodge lobby is a cozy place to sit and relax! You won’t want to miss the 82-foot tall, three-sided fireplace, which is a recreation of the rock strata of the Grand Canyon.

Take a look at the four large chandeliers that resemble tee-pees and the two 55-foot high totem poles that stand guard at the lobby entrance.
