Pineapple Lanai Opens at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

We have some big news for Dole Whip fans! The Pineapple Lanai is now open at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

When we reported that Captain Cook’s had reopened there was also news that the self-serve Dole Whip machine had not returned to the updated quick service location.

But have no fear – you can curb your Dole Whip craving at the new Pineapple Lanai located outside the Great Ceremonial House. Guests can order a Dole Whip soft serve, a Dole Whip soft serve swirl (with vanilla ice cream), or a Dole Whip Float. There’s even an option to get your sweet treat in a souvenir tiki bowl or or tiki “sipper” cup.

The new Pineapple Lanai opens each day at noon and closes one hour after Wishes ends at the Magic Kingdom.

In other Poly news, the Moana Merchantile has opened – replacing the former Trader Jack’s.

The construction on the DVC over-the-water bungalows continues, as does the refurbishment of the hotel’s lobby. We’ll keep you posted with more photos!

Are you excited about the Pineapple Lanai or are you going to miss the self-serve Dole Whip machine at Captain Cook’s?
