If you’re headed to Disney World or Disneyland to stay on-site, you’ll want to make note of these refurbishments or changes going on during your stay.
Disney’s Pop Century
- Construction for the new Disney Skyliner transportation system is happening at the resort

- Construction for the new Disney Skyliner transportation system is happening at the resort
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Uzima Springs Pool and pool bar will be closed for refurbishment from September 4 – December 4. Guests can take a shuttle to Kidani Village to enjoy the Samawati Springs Pool.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- A small area of Stormalong Bay will be closed from mid-August to November to make way for new cabanas. The rest of the pool will remain open.
Disney Beach Club Resort
- A small area of Stormalong Bay will be closed from mid-August to November to make way for new cabanas. The rest of the pool will remain open.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Demolition of buildings in Martinique and Barbados is underway to make room for the Disney Riviera Hotel.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- A construction project is underway at Coronado Springs. The project includes a new 15-story tower, updates to current rooms, an island oasis, floating gardens, and a rooftop dining location.
- The Dig Site, home to The Lost City of Cibola Pool, volleyball court, playground, Iguana Arcade, and Siestas Cantina will be closed for refurbishment from September – December 2018. The quiet pools remain open
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Resort and room refurbishment happening. The resort will be in full operation with all amenities available including dining and merchandise locations, pools, and recreation activities. Guests may hear or see some work, and some walkways may be affected. Work will last into 2019.
Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside
- One of the Alligator Bayou quiet pools is closed for refurbishment through the fall. All other pools remain open
- Room refurbishment are occurring through 2019
