When you find yourself in the lobby of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, walking on the shiny hardwood floors and looking at the antique navigational instruments, you’ll feel like you’re on a ship or an elegant 1920’s New England Yacht Club. You might be looking around the lobby for all of the Hidden Mickey’s or the giant Globe that was created specifically for the Yacht Club Resort.
If you’re entering the lobby of Disney’s Beach Club, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a casual sea-side resort. You’ll love looking around the pastel and beached themed lobby, complete with 24 foot high ceilings. Sit and relax in the wicker furniture throughout the lobby or take a walk and check out the sand castle art or seahorse fixtures.
But wait! What’s that smell in the lobbies?
Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club has a very specific smell and it’s actually the smell of Green Clover and Aloe.
Disney uses a scent generator from Enviroscent to spread the smell throughout the resort to bring the authentic feeling of actually staying in an east coast resort. Envrioscent works with many companies like Disney to create a scent experience for guests.

The Yacht Club and other resorts we were at were nice smelling, however the chekin lobby at the Contemporary was over-powering. Smelled like a banana wearing to much Channel No. 5. Everything above the fourth floor smelled like chocolate chip pancakes. That was nice.
Fellow Mouseketeers, I have checked into the the fragrance at the Contemporary Resort. The housekeeping staff confirmed that they use Enviroscents,
Alas, Enviroscents only sells to commercial enterprises. They don’t have products for private residences. Too bad, I already checked. The fragrance at the Contemporary is lovely, though !
