Disney’s Polynesian Resort is in the midst of some serious refurbishments – including a makeover of the resort’s iconic lobby.
As part of the on-going facelift at the resort, Capt. Cook’s, the resort’s counter service location, is also undergoing a refurbishment. And our friends at the Disney Food Blog have all the details on the current “temporary” location.
If you’re a guest at the Polynesian – or you’re just craving some Tonga Toast – never fear! You can still get the delicious breakfast item at the temporary location of Capt. Cook’s.
The temporary location of this counter service is located to the right of the stairs that will take you to the Tambu Lounge. Our friends at the Disney Food Blog tell us there is ample signage in the resort to guide you on your way.
The set up for the temporary Capt. Cook’s still features a grab-and-go cold section in addition to a mug refill station. And there appears to be ample seating inside. Fan of Capt. Cook’s tables and chairs will be happy to know that they have moved to this location!
The menu for breakfast still includes Tonga Toast (and Mickey Waffles), while the lunch and dinner menu still feature fan favorites including the Aloha Pork Sandwich and Pork Nachos.
However, it should be noted that there are no Dole Whips available at Capt. Cook’s until the original location reopens this summer. There is no official reopen date as of now, but we’ll keep you posted.
