Construction on the waterside bungalows at Disney’s Wilderness lodge will reportedly begin in October, and with the start of construction comes the temporary closure of several areas at the resort. According to several reports the impacted areas include the resort’s beach, the playground, the fire pit, and the Hidden Springs leisure pool. This summer, Disney Vacation Club members have a chance to try two new guest experiences before the general public. The ‘Family Culinary Adventure’ gives guests a chance to prepare a meal from scratch and learn some “tricks of the trade” from Disney chefs. The experience is available on June 29 and 30 starting at 5 p.m. and the sessions are three and a half hours long. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is adding 26 waterfront bungalows as part of a Disney Vacation Club expansion at the resort. Similar to the over-the-water bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, the new bungalows will be built on the shores of Bay Lake and will be on the sides of the resort. Free Dining has been announced for select travel dates this fall at the Walt Disney World Resort. The dates for the 2015 free dining offer are: August 28 through October 2; October 25-31; November 8-19; and December 15-21. Most of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels are included in the offer except: Little Mermaid rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation, all campsites and three-bedroom villas.
