A few months ago, we wrote about the new Health and Wellness Rooms that would be opening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
On the 14th floor of the Contemporary, these rooms were to feature cardio equipment so you could work out while looking at the Magic Kingdom, rainwater showers and in-room massage tables.

Disney has decided to stop plans for Health and Wellness rooms. There is no official statement regarding why, but Bryan Malenius, a spokesman for the company, did say:
We look at new ideas and concepts all of the time. It’s not unusual for changes to be made on major construction projects such as the Contemporary suite renovations.
Room renovations for Disney’s Contemporary Resort are now scheduled to begin in 2013, as the same time as the roof and California Grill restaurant.
Refurbished rooms are now expected to open during the summer of 2013.
