The 2015 Walt Disney World Resort Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic is planned for October 30 and 31 this year and we have a sneak peek of the menus.
The Food and Wine Classic features two areas – seminars and the Causeway. The seminars focus on fun and interactive lessons on food and beverages while the Causeway is all about the food and beverage. All nine restaurants from the Swan and Dolphin participate in the event, serving tapas-style dishes.
The event also includes wines and beers from around the world.
This year the Beer Garden also returns to the festival and guests will find three food items on the menu: Brew Hub – Sonta Sausage, Braised Cabbage, Pretzel Bread, Assorted Mustards; made-to-order soft pretzels; and Weiner Schnitzel with Warm German Style Potato Salad.
Ten different breweries will be serving beer at the Beer Garden.
Meat dishes being served at the Food and Wine Classic include: Carved Prime NY Strip, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sauce Bordelaise from Shula’s, served on Friday and Saturday; Smoked Wagyu Short Ribs, Parsnip Puree, Melba Toast, Pommery Mustard Sauce from Cib’s Smoke Shop, served on Saturday; and Buffalo Chicken Wings, Pickled Celery, Petite Carrots, Blue Cheese Fondue by Cabana Bar and Beach Club, served on Friday and Saturday.
Seafood fans will have a chance to sample the Shrimp Cocktail Steamroller from bluezoo, served on Friday; Soft Shell Crab Roll, White Bread, Old Bay Remoulade, Tomato Fondue from The Fountain, served on Saturday; and a Dragon Roll featuring Crispy Shrimp, Tuna, Avocado, Japanese Mayonnaise from Kimonos on Saturday.
Other menu items include pastas and vegetarian options plus desserts. In addition to the Beer Garden guests will also be able to enjoy a variety of wine and sake at the Food and Wine Classic. The full list of menu items and color photos of some of the items can be found at the Disney Food Blog.
