When walking into Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, you will immediately be drawn to the stunning lobby!
Seven stories tall, the lobby is made out of Lodgewood Pine. The focal point is an 83 foot tall, three-sided fireplace. It’s a recreation of the strata of ?the Grand Canyon. There are over 100 different colors in the fireplace and fossilized remains of prehistoric plant and animal life are visible, representing 2 billion years of time it took for the layers of rock to form.
The fireplace at Wilderness Lodge is the perfect place to relax and cozy up with a good book!
There are four large?chandeliers in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge Resort. They resemble teepees and hang tall over the lobby.
The flooring and colorful rugs scattered about the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge Resort are inspired by northwest Indian designs.
There are two large totem poles guarding the lobby entrance! One represents an Eagle and the other, a Raven.
There is a bubbling spring that originates in the rear of the lobby and appears to continue on outside where it becomes a “waterfall” that “pours” into the main swimming pool.
