If you’re staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and you’re a water lover, then you’re in luck!
Choose from relaxing at one of the two pools at the Contemporary Resort, rent a boat or get active and try some water sports!
Pools
Along the shores of Bay Lake, the main pool at the Contemporary is a large ?pool and was refurbished in 2009. It features plenty of spouts shooting water into the pool and a fountain in the middle that children will love playing with. If you’re looking for action, there is a 17 foot water slide!
If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, you will want to check out the Bullseye pool. It’s near the main pool but much smaller. There are also cabanas that can be rented.
In between the pools, there are two hot tubs for the adults to relax in.
A fun Children’s Play area opened in 2009 and children can run and dance as they dash through fountains and water spouts.
Set Sail on the Seven Seas Lagoon
Do you want to get out on the water and explore Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon? Boat rentals at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a fun activity!
You’ll love taking a boat out for a spin and catching a glimpse of?Cinderella’s?Castle or docking your boat at Downtown Disney and having a quick lunch.
Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports Centre at the Contemporary Resort offers plenty of options. You can rent anything from a pontoon boat to a Sea Raycer! Prices vary on how long you will want to take the boat out on the water for.
You can also choose from a Fireworks Cruise, which includes a driver.
A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action
If action on the water is what you’re looking for then you can choose from a variety of water sports at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Try your hand at water skiing, tubing or wake boarding!
Add a little more magic and make your Disney vacation even more special by trying something like parasailing. Get high up in the sky and get a unique view of the Walt Disney World Resort.
Get Hooked on Fishing
If you’re looking to do some bass fishing, then you’ve came to the right place! Head to the Bay Lake Marina where you can enjoy two hours of catch and release bass fishing.
Bring up to 5 people with you and you will receive a guide, equipment (rod, reel and bait), beverages, a voucher for one-year BASS?membership and 11 issues of Bassmaster Magazine.
Book a fishing expedition by calling (407) WDW-BASS up to 90 days in advance. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, but no-shows will be charged for the full cost.
You don’t always have to stay on land while you’re visiting Walt Disney World and the Contemporary Resort. Try your hand (or legs!) at some water activities.
