Walt Disney World Resort Posts “No Fishing” Signs at Resorts

In the wake of last month’s fatal alligator attack at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney World has erected “No Fishing” signs at several resorts on property. According to reports there are ‘No Fishing’ signs posted at Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, Fort Wilderness, and Old Key West Resort. Essentially, guests are forbidden to fish on their own at Disney World now. The only permissible fishing is part of a guided fishing excursion. Disney has also installed fences along the shoreline at several hotels including the Grand Floridan,...

Is Disney Thinking about Adding Resort Fees?

We’re hearing reports of a Walt Disney World Resort survey being sent to some guests about a potential $15-per-night resort fee that could be imposed at all Walt Disney World Resort hotels. This possible resort fee would cover things such as the Disney Magical Express, MagicBands, priority Fast+Pass planning at your resort, Extra Magic Hours at the theme parks, parking at the hotel and the theme parks, and Wi-Fi. Many hotels charge a nightly resort fee, including the Disney Springs-area hotels and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. The hotels “on property” at Disney...

Disney Removing Alarm Clocks from Resort Hotel Rooms

The next time you check into a Walt Disney World Resort hotel room you might notice that the alarm clock is missing. Don’t be “alarmed” – Disney is reportedly removing all clocks from the resort’s hotel rooms. We were first made aware of this when a member of our team reported that her room at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was without a clock. When she called the front desk she was told that all the clocks had been removed but guests can still request a clock if they need or want one. After contacting Disney Vacation Club Member Services, a cast member did...
